At various times throughout the year, members of the e-Learning community here at UBC contribute their efforts and talent to offer the UBC Learning Technology Institute (LTI). To gain essential skills in the use of WebCT Vista and to build on these skills, the LTI will be offering training to target audiences based on sequential learning. Participants are encourgaged to attend fundamental sessions before continuing through to more advanced WebCT Vista skills training. Training in emerging technologies is also available. Sessions are open to all faculty and staff and are a great way to fine-tune existing skills or help build a strong foundation to start from.

The Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) speaker series focuses on innovative ideas, emerging technologies and effective practices related to the integration of technology into the learning and teaching environment. The TLT series presents six seminars per year with speakers, selected by the Learning Technology Community and the TLT advisory committee, from UBC and beyond.
The TLT series began in 2002 and is open to UBC faculty, staff and students. Leading experts from across UBC and around the world are invited to share their research and expertise about e-Learning.

The Tech Express is a series of lunchtime, informal sessions on learning technologies and related themes (such as open educational resources and digital identity). Faculty, staff and students are invited to BYOLL: bring your own lunch and laptop. Sessions may be experiential or discussion based and are designed to help novices and those who want to try out the different learning technologies supported by UBC and explore related issues. Come and learn something new! Bring your questions.
All sessions are scheduled on designated Thursdays at noon (12PM), you can register or drop-in with a friend.
